David Paul, Financial Trader comments. What is more important – the entry or the exit to a trade and why? I think the exits are more important. We don't know what the market is going to do next, but we should know what we are going to do if the market goes a certain direction. Many people will say that entries are not that important but on a practical basis if you get your entry at the right level, you can then put your stop loss out of the traffic. If your entry is sloppy, your stop loss still has to be out of the traffic but you will have to wait longer to get your risk-reward ratio.
