Bitcoin is experiencing a bear market, as the leading cryptocurrency continues to drop in value.
Crippled in the first month of the new year by pending regulations, slipping volumes in Asian trading, and instances of of massive market theft, cryptocurrencies are in a bind.
But Bitcoin is in the biggest, though it is still trading the highest.
Despite its market valuation leading the way for digital currencies, Bitcoin's trading price is in a freefall.
Last November the cryptocurrency broke the $10,000 mark for the first time, and peaked just under the $20,000 by December.
But now, Bitcoin dropped below the $7,000, trading at $6,986, its lowest price since 2015.
