• Description: Cat7 supports a higher bandwidth (600MHz) than Cat6, and can reach a transmission speed of up to 40 Gbps at 50 meters, and an astonishing 100 Gbps at a medium distance (think router to device) up to 15 meters. For distances up to 100 meters, the speed drops to 10 Gbps. Cat7 uses an improved GigaGate45 connector to take full advantage of higher performance features. GigaGate45 cables are backward compatible with regular Ethernet ports. FFTP CAT7 Cable's Cat7 has a wide range of shielding functions, which can reduce the signal attenuation of a single wire pair and perform additional shielding on the entire cable. The end result is more rigid than previous generations of cables. It also comes with a higher price tag. Cat7 is most suitable for use in data centers. CAT7 is thicker than CAT6a, and the shielding is heavier. It requires GG45 (ARJ45), which is the next generation connector for LAN cabling. CAT7 cables can provide amazing speeds of up to 100 Gbps even at distances of up to 15m. The bandwidth capacity is impressive, up to 600 MHz.
